At the beginning of the semester I had a meeting with the mother of a student with severe allergies (many grasses, Oaks, Maples, Cottonwoods, Pecan, etc) in my Forestry class. I made sure she understood that we would be outside a great deal this semester and we would be making a leaf collection. It has not been a problem until we started collecting leaves during class this past week. He apparently had a reaction at home collecting leaves in a pasture. She is concerned about his ability to complete the assignment. Does anyone have an idea for an alternate assignment he could do that would not involve him being outside as much?
