I'm not teaching Ag Bus this year, but whenever we get into budgets (enterprise or whole-business), there's always a lot of student debate on why an entrepreneur needs to budget for their own labor. Part of it is that as high school students, they don't recognize their time as a productive asset. Part of it is that many of them see their parents managing a business and just spending money without discussion about monthly/annual budgets.
I came across this blog article today on twitter and would LOVE to use it in that budgeting lesson the next time I teach FBM or Ag Bus. There are some great discussion generators in it: How Much Should You Pay Yourself? | Inc.com
