I am in need of some interest approach topics and ideas for my Small Animal Care class. I am having a hard time trying to find relevant interest approach ideas.
I like to show clips from the Old Yeller movie when I talk about zoonotic diseases and how they transfer from animals to humans. Most students have seen the movie, but have never thought in depth about the segments where the puppy and boy share breakfast, they cow is acting different, the wolf attacking Old Yeller, and the amount time when they lock Old Yeller up.
For restraints I like to show a funny picture of a dog in an Elizabethan collar or show a clip from any movie where they are using a catch pole to capture stray animals.
Sometimes even just a comic strip or picture related to the topic of the day is fun too.
Can you share some of the lesson titles and/or learning objectives you are trying to accomplish?
