Discussions are for participants to delve a littler deeper into questions that may come up in the readings. There may be one question or several. You are not required to answer all of them, as they are meant to guide conversation. Not all questions may pertain to you personally.
1. What is your why as an educator? Why did you decide to teach?
2. Think back to the Hamilton analogy (p.54) about giving their children meaningful lives, and giving their children the right environment to leave their mark on the world. Based on your why/philosophy of teaching, what are your goals/desires for your students or as an educator? How do you want to help students leave their mark?
3. Do you feel that you are currently fulfilling those goals/desires for your students?
