              Sabin Schellenberg Professional Technical Center (Land Lab)

               

              1.0 Permanent FTE

              Start August 28, 2018

              Full Time, 7:30 – 3:30, Monday - Friday

               

              Must have or be eligible to receive a Standard or CTE teaching license with Agricultural Science and Technology CTE endorsement.

               

              Sabin-Schellenberg Professional Technical Center has a full time position in a three-person ag program. The 10-acre Land Lab includes two classrooms, school farm with several barns, a shop, large and small livestock, greenhouses, an orchard and pastures. Candidate is responsible for ongoing development of course curriculum and assessment, and year round supervision of FFA, CDE and SAE projects.  Teach farm animal management including animal care and behavior, feeding, identifying breeds, veterinary practices, anatomy, and soil science; teach plant science as it relates to food and landscaping, as well as recording keeping, sales and agribusiness management. A competitive salary, FFA stipend and supplemental summer contract is included.

              Must have at least 2000 hours work experience in the agriculture science industry. Must be able to pass a criminal background check in order to be eligible for a CTE teaching license.
