Class Schedules

Question asked by Lindsay Spurrier on Oct 10, 2017

I am in a 2 teacher department. I deal with mostly productions and my co-hort does mostly mechanics.  He is retiring and I am looking for ways to simplify my life and the new teachers life by tweaking how we do classes.... I am looking for examples of other teachers schedules. We have 42 min periods * 7 teaching periods a day.

Here is my current schedule... I have several classes in one period.

1st Period

Equine Science (.5 year)

Advanced FFA Projects (Independent Study)

2nd Period

Ag Productions 1A (1 period for the whole year)

Ag Productions 1 (2 periods for the whole year)

Biotechnology (.5 year)

Advanced FFA Projects (Independent Study)

3rd Period

Ag Productions 1B (1 period for the whole year)

Ag Productions 1 (2 periods for the whole year)

Plant Science (.5 year)

Advanced Plant Science (Independent Study)

Advanced FFA Projects (Independent Study)

5th Period

Introduction to Ag - 9th graders only (1 period for the whole year)

Introduction to Ag - 9th graders only (2 periods for the whole year)

6th Period

Introduction to Ag - 9th graders only (1 period for the whole year *different group from 5th period*)

Introduction to Ag - 9th graders only (2 periods for the whole year)

7th Period

Ag Productions 2 (2 periods the whole year)

Ag Productions 2A (1 period for the whole year)

Environmental Resources (1 period)

8th Period

Ag Productions 2 (2 periods for the whole year)

Ag Productions 2B (1 period for the whole year)

Small Animal Vet Science

** The mechanics schedule looks similar, I'm struggling with the double period and single period because when they schedule kids for the new year, it never fails that they took a course through productions and then get signed up for it again as an elective.... How do you do your class layouts??
