My district is in the process of a very large building project that has resulted in a new Ag classroom and lab. I am in my fourth year of teaching and would like to set myself up for a long, successful career! I am looking for ideas from anyone who has been through an building project or not. I am looking for things that you can't live without, things you thought you needed and didn't, and any tips and tricks to making a new innovative learning environment. I have a laundry list of things that include welding and exhaust ventilation, windows in the classroom/lab wall, etc. One thing that I am on the fence about is having oxy/acetylene lines piped into cutting booths to eliminate carts in the lab? I have seen both ways and can think of pros and cons on both. I am looking for insights like this to make a very successful learning environment!
Thanks in advance!
