I have really enjoyed participating in the book group this summer and I have learned a lot. I hope I can implement some new strategies. One word that I would love to hear others use to describe my class room would be engaging. I always hope that I can teach my content, incorporate science, all while students remain interested and excited.
When I retire, I hope that I have inspired my students to be more active and aware about agriculture. I want them to be engaged producers and/or consumers in agriculture and have learned through experiencing my class.
I don't know that I would want a nickname - but on a pirate ship the lookout is called the crows nest so I could see that nickname for my classroom. I hope students are always on the lookout for something new and know that they are going to find something exciting when they come in the door so they better watch out!
Good luck with everyone's start of the school year!
