Does anyone have a scavanger hunt that they use while attending the Western Farm Show in KC?
Sorry no one has answered Matt. Hopefully putting it back on top of the list will get you a response. It's a great idea to get students engaged rather than just walking aimlessly around the show.
Sorry that I don't have one, but you could maybe modify one from a state or national convention. To incorporate the technology that they love so much, you could challenge them to get pictures with a representative of different exhibitors and the pictures give you proof that they were there talking to them. Put easy ones on there like CASE and John Deere, but put a few of the smaller and less popular ones on there too. You can look at the exhibitor floor plans on the Farm Show website.
As an incentive this year at national FFA convention, I told my students that the one that got the signatures from the most states or the first with all the states signed would have their meal at Red Lobster paid out of my pocket. It really got them out meeting people and getting those signatures. You might not want to go that deep yourself, but even free food from a fast food joint will motivate many high school kids.
Hope that helps.
