As you probably all know, the notice to all NAAE members about the membership dues increase and the change to the NAAE Bylaws went out on October 1. I am sure we will receive questions about these two items; if you don’t feel like you have enough information to answer them, please let me, Sherisa or Deanna know so that we can get you the information you need.
I'm continuing to work on the 2022 budget and with the National FFA Foundation on funding. As was mentioned at the board meeting, the process for grant funding has changed drastically within the new MOU that has been approved. I am meeting with Scott Stump, Molly Ball, and Dave Schapker in the next week to get more clarity. Once I know more I will share with you as things that are currently muddy become more clear.
Lastly, I shared with Sherisa earlier this month that Olivia Thomas has decided move closer to her sister in Tennessee and thus resigned her Marketing and Communications Specialist position with NAAE, effective October 8. We are very sad to see her go but we know this is a very good move for her since she is so close to her family and her sister relies on her to help with her niece. We wish her well as she begins this new journey.
As always, please reach out if you have questions or have issues. As we move into the very busy time of year for us, we know we will be able to do great things as we move back to in-person events.
