As part of my contribution to the state standardized test lesson plan, I have combined a National Food Science Scenario with a lab my former student teacher, Bridgette Wanhainen created. I give very little direction on this lab, the students must pick out the information through reading the scenario. The worksheet will guide students in what information is important. Even if students are doing this as a group project, each STUDENT must turn in their own packet. For easier grading, have students turn in their packets together as a group and paperclip. With the math portion, this will speed up grading. The project is intended to be a group project, but the packet can be individual, or students may just copy paste without discussing the scenario.
