You might also try using some inspiration from The Apprentice. I have the first season on DVD and used to use it extensively, but with the current political issues and who the host was, I had to drop it. However I’ve still used the premise of having kids on teams and giving them tasks. The first one was pitching a new product, 2nd was creating a informational/sales brochure, 3rd was a short informercial, etc. while I couldn’t “fire” someone from the losing team, I’d let the winning team decide if they wanted to steal a player from the other team.
