Curricular materials for my Home Gardening & Horticulture Course. This follows a weekly structure in which Monday is the inquiry-based intro (which could range from a discussion, to symptoms of an unknown disorder, to a guest speaker, etc.). Tuesday is lecture and notes. Wednesday is either lab or finish notes if not done Tuesday. Thursday is quiz, or if time does not allow, the Wed lab. Friday is either application or lab wrap-up.
NOTE: through support from the National Science Foundation and Michigan State University, a new research-based version of this course is being developed to investigate the effectiveness of NGSS-aligned classroom instruction when paired with situated learning opportunities like SAEs.
