A fun twist - have the kids cut out ears, and assign them a litter number and individual number. Once they've notched their ears accordingly, have them tape them on their heads (yes tape them), and then go around the room and record 6 other people's litter and individual numbers by sight (no cheating). If you pre-planned accordingly, see if they can get back in 'their' litters (I make litters about 3-kid big, so they don't have a lot of repetition when going around the room).
Twenty-five adolescents with pig ears taped to their heads? Hilarious!
I actually cut out templates for the ears and then do a fruit roll up lab (Ear Notching Lab Activity WS). They have a blast with it because....of course they get to eat.
