This activity is designed to help students appreciate how information encoded in DNA becomes the chain of amino acids that form a protein, and how the properties of those amino acids enable a protein to acquire its shape and function. It is a low-cost, hands-on experiment that enables students to use modeling to learn about DNA and proteins.
