Hello everyone! My name is Rosalind Cowan and I am a sophomore majoring in AEE, and planning on minoring in Animal Science and INTAG. At Penn State, I am involved in the Teach Ag! Society, PSERT, and CRU. Growing up I have always loved the outdoors and animals, however, I was never involved in FFA or any other ag related clubs/organizations. Instead, I worked to ride at a horse farm near my home and during the summers I was also a counselor for a horse camp that was held there. It was there I realized how much I enjoyed teaching others. Two of my favorite high school teachers also helped me realize that teaching was a career I was interested in because they had influenced my life so positively and were such amazing role models. So, I decided to combine my love for animals and agriculture with my love of helping others/teaching and major in AEE.

Besides Ag Ed and PSU, I love to spend time with my family, read, hunt, fish, hike, and travel. Can't wait to see what's in store for this year and looking forward communicating with you all on NAAE Communities of Practice!
