Hello everyone!

My name is Amber Gabel, and I am a freshman taking AEE 100 this semester.  Although I am an Animal Science major, I still have a passion for agricultural education, especially when it comes to agricultural literacy.  Throughout my life, I have been involved in many great youth programs that work to teach people about agriculture, such as 4-H, FFA, PA Jr. Holstein Association, and the Pennsylvania Dairy Princess and Promotion Services.  I absolutely love dairy cattle (especially Red & White Holsteins), which is why I want to pursue a career as a large animal veterinarian and help my parents continue to run the family farm.  I am also very passionate about showing and judging dairy cattle (you may see me on the Penn State Dairy Judging Team in a year or two).  I hope that the NAAE Communities of Practice will allow me to network with people who share similar interests in agricultural education.  I look forward to getting to know many of you!

Hello Everyone!

This really excites me to be part of an association where we all share similar goals and passions and can continually help each other! Even more, I can stay connected with everyone after we graduate, pretty cool stuff! My name is Jasmine, but more preferably Jazz (Jasmine sounds to formal and I would consider myself more upbeat!). This is my first semester taking AEE courses and so far I love them! I look forward to utilizing NAAE now to help prepare me for teaching, to use specific strategies in the future, and to also positively contribute in order to help others along the way. I am still trying to learn everything and get a feel for how to best use this, so any tips or words of advice would be greatly appreciated!
