Convention Wrap-Up

The 65th annual NAAE Convention hosted over 500 attendees, provided over 60 professional development workshops for educators, and recognized more than 70 agricultural educators and partners for their contributions to the profession. None of what happened at this year’s convention would have been possible without the support and backing of all the amazing NAAE sponsors.

New NAAE board members were also elected at convention and our seven standing committees reviewed not only NAAE’s activities and plans for the upcoming year, but a proposal to change their own structure. This year was also the first for the XLR8 Institute, providing mid-career teachers essential professional development opportunities and grooming them to take new ideas back to their own states.

Another great convention is in the bag, but it’s not too early to mark your calendar for next year’s NAAE Convention: November 18-22, 2014, in Nashville, Tennessee.  See you there!

Meet the 2013-2014 NAAE Board!

Members elected a president, president-elect, two new regional vice-presidents and two new secretaries. Follow this link to see who our 2013-14 leaders are and read more about each of our newly elected officers.
