Communities of Practice Goes Mobile

Blog Post created by Julie Fritsch on Aug 11, 2016

At long last, you can access your groups and communities on the go through Communities of Practice. When you visit communities.naae.org on your phone or tablet, you'll see the option to open the site in Jive Daily or your browser. Both have advantages.

Jive Daily App - mostly for consumption

The Jive Daily App is free, and available from the App Store or Google Play Store. Search for Jive Daily, and look for the app with this icon:

After you install the app, you'll be prompted to enter the URL of your community. Enter communities.naae.org, then log in with your regular Communities of Practice information. The Jive Daily app is more limited than the entire mobile site. It's designed to give you the ability to quickly see what's happening in your groups and communities.

Mobile View - get it all

When you open CoP in your mobile browser, you get exactly the same experience as on a big screen, just optimized for mobile. You can still log in, search, browse and create content. You can add the site to your home screen (or home page on Android devices) to create an icon you can tap to take you directly to the site.

More training to come

We'll provide updates and training on CoP mobile throughout the fall and at NAAE Convention in Las Vegas. If you have any questions about how to access CoP on your mobile device, contact me at Julie Fritsch to set up training, or post a question here in the Communities of Practice Help & FAQs community.
