Lexington, Ky. – The board of directors of the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) is pleased to announce that Alissa F. Smith of Nicholasville, Ky. has been hired as NAAE Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Her assignment in this capacity will begin October 1, 2020.

Agricultural Education for All Town Hall
Join us for an important virtual town hall featuring the National Organization’s new Agricultural Education for All roadmap on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. EDT. Click here to watch. Visit FFA.org to view the roadmap before the town hall. Serve Locally This October 
FFA chapters are being asked to put their Leadership into Action and serve their local community by participating in the FFA National Days of Service. FFA chapters may sign up a service event to be hosted in October. If you host and report on your service event before Oct. 9, your chapter may be highlighted during national convention.

FFA Alumni

Leadership Scholarship Report Deadline
Any FFA Alumni and Supporters chapter or state association that received a leadership scholarship check from National FFA is required to submit a leadership scholarship report form to alumni@ffa.org by Oct. 1. Chapters and states that do not submit a grant report form will not receive 2020 funding.

Resources and networking at your fingertips! National FFA is excited to announce that the Forever Blue Network is now available as an app on iOS and android devices! From the Apple Store, download the Graduway Community app and type “National FFA Organization” as your institution. From the Google Play Store, download the Forever Blue Network app. Be sure to check out groups and resources specifically for agriculture education teachers!

Vets on Call
Presented by Zoetis, the Veterinarians on Call YouTube channel features real-life vets doing a variety of tasks. In this episode of Vets On Call: "The term ‘factory farm’ is used widely, most people think machines are making pigs,” says Tennessee veterinarian Dr. Seth Krantz of Tosh Farms. “We’re a family company and we depend on a network of other family farmers to raise these pigs." Watch the video here.
