The 2018 National Agricultural Education Summit will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 just prior to the 2018 NAAE Convention and ACTE CareerTech VISION 2018. Click here for more information.
We are pleased to accept applications for the 2018 NAAE XLR8 Professional Development Program. The program is sponsored by CSX Transportation as a special project of the National FFA Foundation. XLR8 is a year-long professional development program that targets agriculture teachers in their 7th-15th year of teaching. Click here for more information and to apply by August 20th.
Future Agriscience Teacher Symposium at NAAE Convention
The FAST Symposium is a professional development, networking and mentoring experience for preservice agricultural education majors. The sessions will focus on creating an inclusive classroom environment, inquiry-based learning, classroom management, professional development, and collegiality. This week, Dr. Bents is keeping pigs free from disease, starting with requiring everyone who enters a barn to swap their clothes and boots at the door for clean ones, and shower in and out. Last Day to Apply for Convention and Expo Newsroom Crew
Today is the last day to apply to work in the 2018 National FFA Convention & Expo newsroom. Help us tell our story to the world! The National FFA Organization is seeking college students or recent college graduates pursuing degrees in journalism, public relations, telecommunications or a closely related field to share with the world the news and feature stories coming out of the national convention and expo Oct. 24-27, 2018, in Indianapolis.
Newsroom crew members are expected to arrive on Monday, Oct. 22 and work through Saturday, Oct. 27. Your reward? A small stipend, inside access to an amazing event, coaching on how to become a better communicator, and some awesome clips and experience that will help you in the future. This may be eligible for college credit so ask your school's advisor.
