2018 National Agricultural Education Summit
The 2018 National Agricultural Education Summit will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio, Texas on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 just prior to the 2018 NAAE Convention and ACTE CareerTech VISION 2018. Click here for more information.


Inclusion and Diversity Task Force
The National Association of Agricultural Educators, the National FFA Organization and Foundation, and the National Teach Ag Campaign are collaboratively seeking passionate agricultural education professionals, NAAE staff members, and National FFA staff members who are interested in assisting the organizations with addressing the inclusion and diversity needs of students, teachers, state staff, teacher educators, and stakeholders in the agricultural education community. Task force members will be responsible for identifying engagement opportunities, collaborative partnerships and inclusion, and diversity strategies that will contribute to the goal of ensuring agriculture classrooms reflect the schools and communities in which they reside. New Travel Program to Take Alumni and Supporters to Europe
FFA has partnered with Agrotours to offer the new FFA Alumni and Supporters Agriculture Travel Program. Up to 48 alumni and supporters can participate in the inaugural travel program that will take participants on a tour through the Netherlands and Germany July 1-10, 2019. The National FFA Organization is seeking college students or recent college graduates pursuing degrees in journalism, public relations, telecommunications or a closely related field to share with the world the news and feature stories coming out of the 91st National FFA Convention & Expo Oct. 24-27, 2018, in Indianapolis.

Newsroom crew members are expected to arrive on Monday, Oct. 22 and work through Saturday, Oct. 27. Your reward? A small stipend, inside access to an amazing event, coaching on how to become a better communicator, and some awesome clips and experience that will help you in the future. This may be eligible for college credit so ask your school's advisor.

PAS Announces a New Name and New Executive Director
The National Post-Secondary Agricultural Student Association (PAS) announces several big changes as they position themselves as a resource for the agriculture industry in meeting their labor needs. First, a new name, National Professional Agricultural Student Organization (PAS), one that is more reflective of the organization’s vision to be the premier leadership and career development organization serving college agriculture students and the agriculture industry. Second, they have hired Mary Kay Delvo as their next executive director and national officer coordinator. Click here for the full press release.
