2017-18 212◦/360◦ Conference Host Registration Reminder
As summer is in full swing, we’d like to remind you about the registration process for the 2017-18 212◦ and 360◦ conference season. Make sure to read our newConference Planning Guide completely. This will help ensure an easy registration and conference experience. The deadline for 2017-18 conference registration is Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017.
We have changed several items related to hosting a 212◦ and/or 360◦ conference to improve efficiencies in shipping and invoicing and to bring more clarity to the hosting process. These changes may result in some increased costs for hosts; however, these changes make processes more straightforward and timely.  Below are highlights of major changes or areas of greater clarification for the upcoming conference year:
  • Conference hosts must provide projectors. Facilitators having to travel with the projectors has been an issue in the past and has resulted in broken projectors. To help mitigate this issue, we are asking the conference hosts to provide this item.
  • Final participant numbers are due three weeks prior to the conference. If numbers are submitted less than three weeks prior to a conference, there may be additional costs incurred to expedite shipping and add additional facilitators to your conference location. See page 6 of the conference guide for a detailed explanation.
  • Invoicing will be based on the final participant numbers submitted three weeks prior to the conference. This ensures conference material inventory is more accurate,  dissolves the need for shipping as many items back and forth, and also provides for a more timely invoice.
  • State sponsorship will be deducted from invoices (when applicable); however, national FFA staff (facilitators) lodging and conference-provided meals will no longer be deducted from conference invoices. It will now be the responsibility of the host to cover these costs. This will allow us to align this process with other national FFA conference guidelines to create consistency within our leadership development programs.
