Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) is pleased to accept applications for the 2017 CASE Awards. The CASE Awards program is supported by Vernier Software & Technology. Two award winners will be selected, one in each of the following categories.
CASE Model School Award:
The CASE Model School award is designed to recognize schools whose CASE certified teachers are teaching CASE courses to the highest fidelity. Ideal award candidates are facilitating CASE instruction in a model learning environment with proper classroom, laboratory, and/or shop space and prescribed equipment, supplies, and materials. Model Schools offer a structured sequence of CASE courses and scaffold student learning. Schools with one or multiple CASE certified teachers are encouraged to apply. CASE Model Schools may also leverage support not only through the school district, but also through the local community, agricultural industry, and/or state, regional, or national grants.
CASE Innovation Award:
The CASE Innovation Award highlights creative classroom and teaching approaches as CASE certified teachers implement and promote CASE. Ideal innovations include but are not limited to classroom instruction, CASE Online, assessment strategies, social media, technology integration, industry partnerships, university partnerships, and state or regional collaboration.
All CASE certified teachers, except current CASE Advisory Committee Members, who are teaching CASE course(s) are eligible to apply for these awards. NAAE membership is required for award applicants. To join the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE), click this link.Selected award winners are invited to receive their award and co-present a CASE workshop highlighting their achievements at the 2017 NAAE Convention hosted in Nashville, Tennessee.
FFA$400 Day of Service Mini-Grants
Does your FFA chapter have a service event planned to kick-off the coming school year? Maybe you are hosting a school supply drive or want to put a LTS Plan created at WLC into action. FFA Day of Service Mini-Grants are available to middle school, high school and collegiate/alumni chapters to serve your community in one of four focus areas: Community Safety; Hunger, Health and Nutrition; Environmental Responsibility and Community Engagement.Applications submitted by the last day of each month are reviewed and awarded by the 15th of the following month. 2017-18 212?/360? Conference Host Registration Reminder
As summer is in full swing, we’d like to remind you about the registration process for the 2017-18 212? and 360? conference season. Make sure to read our new Conference Planning Guide completely. This will help ensure an easy registration and conference experience. The deadline for 2017-18 conference registration is Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017.We have changed several items related to hosting a 212? and/or 360? conference to improve efficiencies in shipping and invoicing and to bring more clarity to the hosting process. These changes may result in some increased costs for hosts; however, these changes make processes more straightforward and timely. Below are highlights of major changes or areas of greater clarification for the upcoming conference year:
