Council Vision

To be the collective leadership voice for Agricultural Education in the United States.


  • The mission of The National Council for Agricultural Education is to establish high quality agricultural education programs in America's schools by stimulating:
  • the preparation, retention, and advancement of high quality agricultural educators; the development of programs that prepare students for academic and career success;
  • program innovation and adaptability in response to changing student and industry needs;
  • the use of research-based practices in agricultural education at all levels; and
  • expanded opportunities for students to experience high quality educational programs in agriculture.

Highlight NAAE Membership Benefits with our New Videos
Under the direction of the NAAE marketing committee, NAAE has created a series of 1 to 2-minute videos, each of which highlights a different benefit of NAAE membership. These videos cover membership, advocacy, awards, NAAE Convention, professional development, liability insurance, and teacher recruitment and retention. They can be viewed directly from the NAAE Website, YouTube, or downloaded to your computer.

Teach Ag Ambassador Applications Due 3/31
Each year the National Teach Ag Campaign selects an elite group of agricultural education majors to represent the profession and encourage others to teach agriculture. The application for the 2016-17 ambassador program is now available. Click here to apply.

Host a Location for 2016 National Teach Ag Day
The National Teach Ag Campaign is looking for up to four sites to serve as satellite locations for the 2016 National Teach Ag Day celebration (Thursday, September 22).  The satellite sites will be featured throughout the live event to showcase current and future agriculture teachers.  The satellite locations will be assigned a host facilitator (current or former Teach Ag ambassador) who will help coordinate on site discussions and technical logistics.

Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education

2016 CASE Institute Registration Now Open
CASE is excited to announce that registration is now open for the thirty-two CASE Institutes that will be held this upcoming summer! For more information and to register for a CASE Institute, please click here.

Each site will be capped at 18 participants with sites able to extend participant registrations up to, but not greater than, 20 participants. Many Institutes’ registrations filled quickly last year so teachers should be sure to register and submit a School District Agreement as soon as they have secured the appropriate funding. Please note that any registration canceled within 30 days of the start of an Institute will be subject to a minimum $250 cancellation fee. Contact CASE Professional Development Director, Shari Smith, regarding any additional questions.

FFA Emblem Fundraiser Kicks Off at Southern States
Farm supply retailer Southern States Cooperative has kicked off its annual “FFA Paper Emblem” campaign that benefits FFA at the local, state and national levels. The community is encouraged to purchase a $1 “I’m Supporting FFA” paper emblem at their local Southern States to support the cause. The fundraiser runs through the end of March at participating Southern States Cooperative locations. For more information,
