Mission

  • The mission of The National Council for Agricultural Education is to establish high quality agricultural education programs in America's schools by stimulating:
  • the preparation, retention, and advancement of high quality agricultural educators; the development of programs that prepare students for academic and career success;
  • program innovation and adaptability in response to changing student and industry needs;
  • the use of research-based practices in agricultural education at all levels; and
  • expanded opportunities for students to experience high quality educational programs in agriculture.

Last Day to Apply! FFA Hunger Heroes Challenge Mini-Grants

Today, Monday, February 29th, is the last day to apply for the first round of FFA Hunger Heroes Challenge Mini-Grants! Does your chapter have an idea to fight hunger? Any middle school, high school, collegiate or Alumni FFA chapter who are NOT currently funded through the FFA: Food For All program may apply for up to $500 to support a local hunger service event (project). The application is available at www.FFA.org/Heroes.

Apply Now: New Century Farmer Applications Due March 1

Planning to make a career out of production farming? Apply for New Century Farmer, an intensive five-day conference in Des Moines, Iowa, July 10 - 16. Participants will network with industry experts, presenters and each other. They will also attend a series of workshops and sessions that discuss topics ranging from the global marketplace to farm financing, consumer trends and managing risk. Apply now for 2016.

National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador Academy Applications Close TODAY!

The NAAE National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador Academy (NATAA) has over 10 years of successfully cultivating agriscience and inquiry-based learning in agricultural education. The Academy serves to train agriculture teachers on how to enhance the science that is already present in agriculture, as well as develop students as problem solvers and thinkers through the inquiry-based teaching method.If selected as a National Agriscience Teacher Ambassador, you will be required to attend a national training session. The session is tentatively scheduled to be held in Ankeny, IA at the Iowa FFA Enrichment Center the week of July 18-22, 2016.Application deadline is February 29.Click here for details and to apply.

Host a Location for 2016 National Teach Ag Day

The National Teach Ag Campaign is looking for up to four sites to serve as satellite locations for the 2016 National Teach Ag Day celebration (Thursday, September 22).  The satellite sites will be featured throughout the live event to showcase current and future agriculture teachers.  The satellite locations will be assigned a host facilitator (current or former Teach Ag ambassador) who will help coordinate on site discussions and technical logistics. 2016 National Teach Ag Day Satellite Location Criteria

Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education

2016 CASE Institute Registration Now Open

CASE is excited to announce that registration is now open for the thirty-two CASE Institutes that will be held this upcoming summer! For more information and to register for a CASE Institute, please click here.

Each site will be capped at 18 participants with sites able to extend participant registrations up to, but not greater than, 20 participants. Many Institutes? registrations filled quickly last year so teachers should be sure to register and submit a School District Agreement as soon as they have secured the appropriate funding. Please note that any registration canceled within 30 days of the start of an Institute will be subject to a minimum $250 cancellation fee. Contact CASE Professional Development Director, Shari Smith, regarding any additional questions.
