Council Vision

To be the collective leadership voice for Agricultural Education in the United States.


  • The mission of The National Council for Agricultural Education is to establish high quality agricultural education programs in America's schools by stimulating:
  • the preparation, retention, and advancement of high quality agricultural educators; the development of programs that prepare students for academic and career success;
  • program innovation and adaptability in response to changing student and industry needs;
  • the use of research-based practices in agricultural education at all levels; and
  • expanded opportunities for students to experience high quality educational programs in agriculture.

CASE Now has Scholarships for CASE Institutes Available

Generous contributions through the National FFA Foundation from sponsors like the CHS Foundation and DuPont Pioneer have made it possible for full and partial scholarships to cover the cost of CASE Institutes for award winners. National Career Development Event Questions and Answers are now online. For students who ask their teachers, "When will I ever use this in the real world?" career development events are the answer. Such events demonstrate the meaningful connections between classroom instruction and real-life scenarios.Find these free teaching resources and event preparation materials from 2008-2014 atFFA.org/CDEresources. Apply Now: New Century Farmer Applications Due March 1

Planning to make a career out of production farming? Apply for New Century Farmer, an intensive five-day conference in Des Moines, Iowa, July 10 - 16. Participants will network with industry experts, presenters and each other. They will also attend a series of workshops and sessions that discuss topics ranging from the global marketplace to farm financing, consumer trends and managing risk. Apply now for 2016.

Chapter Tee Time

National FFA is accepting entries for the Annual Chapter T-Shirt Design Contest.  Get creative and earn money for your chapter!  Fifty percent of the first year's profits are returned to the winning chapters. Entries may be emailed to entries@ffa.org or mailed to the National FFA Organization, 6060 FFA Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46268, Attention Lisa Barger.  Entries must be submitted by Feb.26 at 5 p.m. EST.  Finalists will be selected and voting will begin March 14.  See the official rules here.


Attention State Leaders: NAAE Marketing Tools Webinar, February 15, 7pm EST

The NAAE Marketing Committee is hosting a webinar on February 15, beginning at 7 PM EST for state leaders to explain and highlight the marketing tools available through NAAE.  The 1-hour webinar will focus on the following topics: Insurance benefits, Member Discounts,  Professional Development Opportunities, Communities of Practice, Grants, Awards, Camaraderie/Fellowship and a Question and Answer session.  Everyone is invited to attend! Support Two NAAE Sponsors - Vote For Their Videos!

CSX's Santa Train video is in the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship's 2016 Film Festival. Public voting will determine the top three videos for each company. Voting is available here.  Public voting is open now until February 15. The Santa Train is categorized as a medium company, second row. While you're voting, also be sure to vote for Tyson Foods' video (under the large companies category). Both Tyson and CSX are direct sponsors of NAAE and National FFA, so please help support them!

2016 Award Applications Available

Get a jump start on your NAAE awards application. The 2016 application instructions and supporting information for all NAAE awards is now available on the NAAE website. Although the online submission form is not yet open, applicants can use the materials that are available to create everything they'll need to upload once it opens. Regional award winners will be honored at the 2016 NAAE Convention in Las Vegas,  November 29-December 3.Go to the 2016 NAAE Award Applications

Host a Location for 2016 National Teach Ag Day

The National Teach Ag Campaign is looking for up to four sites to serve as satellite locations for the 2016 National Teach Ag Day celebration (Thursday, September 22).  The satellite sites will be featured throughout the live event to showcase current and future agriculture teachers.  The satellite locations will be assigned a host facilitator (current or former Teach Ag ambassador) who will help coordinate on site discussions and technical logistics. 2016 National Teach Ag Day Satellite Location Criteria

February is Career and Technical Education Month! This annual public awareness campaign offers ACTE members the opportunity to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of their CTE programs in their local communities.
