Vision

To be the collective leadership voice for Agricultural Education in the United States.

Mission

The mission of The National Council for Agricultural Education is to establish high quality agricultural education programs in America?s schools by stimulating:

  • the preparation, retention, and advancement of high quality agricultural educators; the development of programs that prepare students for academic and career success;
  • program innovation and adaptability in response to changing student and industry needs;
  • the use of research-based practices in agricultural education programs at all levels; and
  • expanded opportunities for students to experience high quality educational programs in agriculture.

NAAE Internships Applications Due December 18
NAAE offers summer internship opportunities for upperclassmen majoring in agricultural education. This summer we will have positions available in Advocacy, Professional Development and Communications. Follow this link for details. Application deadline for all internships is December 18, 2013


Lifetime FFA Supporter named 2012 NAAE Outstanding Cooperation Award Winner
Robert Johnson, from Monticello, Iowa, received the NAAE Outstanding Cooperation Award in 2012. Johnson owns MinnTex Citrus, Inc., a family-owned and operated business specializing in fruit, cheese, and sausage fundraising. MinnTex Citrus has been a long-time supporter of FFA and assisted with many chapter fundraising projects. Read more on Johnson and other past award winners here.

The 2014 Scholarship Application is now live!
Instructions, details and Helpful Tools are available at FFA.org/scholarships. Remember ? the application deadlines have changed for 2014:

  • The online application must be submitted prior to 5 p.m. EST on Feb. 1, 2014
  • The required Signature Pages must be mailed postmarked no later than Feb. 8, 2014


Same as last year but equally important:

  • Membership must be submitted by state to national by March 1

U.S. Department of Education

U.S. Department of Education Releases School Improvement Grant (SIG) Data Analysis
The U.S. Department of Education announced today the release of 2011-12 school and district-level state assessment data and a brief analysis of School Improvement Grant (SIG) schools. The Department?s analysis compares the average proficiency rates of SIG schools in the 2011-12 school year to rates in the year prior to receiving grants.
