Being a member of NAAE comes offers many benefits, including the Communities of Practice professional networking site, a community of your peers, where members post ideas, have discussions, and share tried-and-true techniques for creating better ag programs.NAAE at the National FFA Convention

NAAE is doing lots of things at this year’s National FFA Convention to support, promote and celebrate agricultural education and the amazing teachers who make it possible.  Don’t miss these fun opportunities for you and your students!

Everyone: Enter our “Where Will You be TAGGED” photo contest for a chance to win a pair of custom made Teach Ag boots.Students: Stop by the Teach Ag booth to complete our scavenger hunt and win a t-shirt plus another chance at those amazing boots.

Ag Ed majors:  Complete our webquest and turn it in at the NAAE booth in Teachers’ World for a NAAE t-shirt.  Also visit with NAAE representatives during the Collegiate career fair times and learn about internships, scholarships, and other great opportunities that come with NAAE student membership.

Teachers and Ag Ed majors: participate in Teachers’ World professional development.  Each workshop you attend gives you a chance to win an iPad.  Also be sure to take advantage of the Internet café, provided by Monsanto, and visit the booths in Teachers’ world.

Everyone: make plans to attend General Session 5, at noon on Friday and hear inspirational stories from current agricultural educators about when they knew they were TAGGED.

National Teach Ag Day set for September 26, 2013The Teach Ag Campaign is excited to announce that the next National Teach Ag Day will be held on September 26, 2013.  This new date reflects a move to the fall for National Teach Ag Day, which is a time of renewed energy and career exploration for many agricultural education programs.We’ll be doing lots of exciting things to build up to the next National Teach Ag day, but in the meantime, you can always celebrate and promote the career of agricultural education using our resources and promotional materials.  Questions? The National Association of Supervisors of Agricultural Education annually recognizes a member who has made outstanding contributions to agricultural education state supervision. Forms are due to the NASAE Secretary on or before October 10th.
  • Nominations may be made by any active member of the Association.
  • Eligible nominees include all current NASAE members who have maintained reasonable continuous membership in the Association.
  • The recipient shall be selected by the Outstanding Member Award Committee. A plaque and appropriate recognition will be presented during the Awards Banquet at the annual NASAE Conference.

National FFA

The National FFA Organization needs your help, as we prepare to package one million meals at the 85th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. The FFA Rally to Fight Hunger will involve 10,000 FFA members, advisors, alumni, volunteers and stakeholders from October 24-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Participants from across the nation will assemble meals to provide relief from hunger and malnutrition during hour-long shifts to in an unprecedented three-day effort against hunger. CTE Month, Logo and Theme Unveiled

It's CTE Month 2013 in February! Celebrate with the 2013 theme, Career and Technical Education Works!

This year, ACTE has moved to a new, permanent CTE Month logo. The theme will continue to change year-to-year to reflect the current trends and issues relating to CTE. A new CTE Month Promotional Poster Design Contest for CTE students will be opening in early September 2012—details coming soon.
