The Council

Vision

To be the collective leadership voice for Agricultural Education in the United States.

Mission

To transform agricultural education for a changing world.

The Council will:

  • Create a sustainable revenue stream for The National Council for Agricultural Education operations,
  • Establish an effective brand communication strategy for Agricultural Education,
  • Promote seamless educational pathways leading to current and emerging careers in Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources,
  • Implement a strategy that makes Agricultural Education more relevant, and
  • Define a process for surfacing critical issues and offering ideas and solutions, generating input, setting direction, and sharing with the profession.

NAAE

NAAE at the National FFA Convention

Win a pair of custom Teach Ag themed Anderson Bean Boot Company boots at the National FFA Convention by letting the National Teach Ag Campaign know "Where will you be Tagged to Teach Ag?"  To participate download and print the Tagged to Teach Ag sign.  Then take the sign with you wherever you go.  Take pictures of yourself with the sign and submit one or two of your favorite photos to ourTeach Ag Tumblr. NAAE Teacher Mentor Award Winner
Tiffany Johnston has only been teaching agriculture for six years, but in that short time, she has come to be seen by her colleagues as a leader and mentor.

Johnston is very involved with the Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators’ New Teacher Program, which supports first year agriculture teachers and helps them find their way through what can often be a challenging year.

NASAE

The National Association of Supervisors of Agricultural Education annually recognizes a member who has made outstanding contributions to agricultural education state supervision. Forms are due to the NASAE Secretary on or before October 10th.

  • Nominations may be made by any active member of the Association.
  • Eligible nominees include all current NASAE members who have maintained reasonable continuous membership in the Association.
  • The recipient shall be selected by the Outstanding Member Award Committee. A plaque and appropriate recognition will be presented during the Awards Banquet at the annual NASAE Conference.

National FFA

The National FFA Organization needs your help, as we prepare to package one million meals at the 85th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. The FFA Rally to Fight Hunger will involve 10,000 FFA members, advisors, alumni, volunteers and stakeholders from October 24-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Participants from across the nation will assemble meals to provide relief from hunger and malnutrition during hour-long shifts to in an unprecedented three-day effort against hunger.   1. U.S. Department of Education Launches Enhhanced Online Learning Community

The U.S. Department of Education today launched the School Turnaround Learning Community (STLC), an enhanced version of its online learning community for school turnaround. The site now features improved search and chat functions and a user-friendly reorganization of STLC resources and materials.

Join the Rural Schools group to share what works in your area and solve common challenges with your peers in other parts of the country.

NYFEA

The NYFEA NAtional Institute is December 6-8, 2012 in Memphis Tennessee. There's a new lower rate, more tours included in the cost, and early registration is open until October 15th.
