The Council will:
- Create a sustainable revenue stream for The National Council for Agricultural Education operations,
- Establish an effective brand communication strategy for Agricultural Education,
- Promote seamless educational pathways leading to current and emerging careers in Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources,
- Implement a strategy that makes Agricultural Education more relevant, and
- Define a process for surfacing critical issues and offering ideas and solutions, generating input, setting direction, and sharing with the profession.

Being a member of NAAE comes offers many benefits, including Awards and recognition programs. NAAE takes pride in recognizing excellence in agricultural education as well as individuals and organizational that make outstanding contributions to the profession. Members have the opportunity to apply for state and national recognition or nominate other individuals or organizations for recognition through a variety of programs.
NAAE Outstanding Middle/Secondary Ag Ed Program Award Winner
Last year, Lind Junior/Senior High School won the NAAE Outstanding Middle/Secondary Ag Ed Program Award. Andy Williams has been the agriculture teacher at the school?s program since 2005. With an MBA in hand, he came into teaching after several years working in industry. His experience makes agricultural business and economics his favorite subject to cover in the classroom. He also enjoys helping his students with their SAEs, which range from animal care to maintaining acres of wheat grounds. Read more about this outstanding educator here.

Get TAGGED to Teach Ag and be Featured at National FFA ConventionThe National Teach Ag Campaign wants to know "Where will you be Tagged to Teach Ag?" To participate download and print the Tagged to Teach Ag sign. Then take the sign with you wherever you go. Take pictures of yourself with the sign and submit one or two of your favorite photos to our Teach Ag Tumblr.

CAST Friday Notes
This week?s newsletter includes news headlines as Agritourism Spreading, Soil Experts Join the CAST Plant Work Group, CAST Overstock Giveaway, and an article about the world's strangest looking animals.
The Council for Agricultural Science and Technology's (CAST) weekly online newsletter, Friday Notes, is available due to a grant from Winfield Solutions (a Land O?Lakes company). Instructors of agriculture have access to the wide range of material from CAST, and they may forward the information to students for educational use with no strings attached.

The National FFA Organization needs your help, as we prepare to package one million meals at the 85th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. The FFA Rally to Fight Hunger will involve 10,000 FFA members, advisors, alumni, volunteers and stakeholders from October 24-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Participants from across the nation will assemble meals to provide relief from hunger and malnutrition during hour-long shifts to in an unprecedented three-day effort against hunger. Shift scheduling will be part of Online Convention Registration, which will open in mid-August. Click here for more information or contact us at Rally@ffa.org.
